These are the rules for using deephidx.com. By using the site, you accept them. If you do not want to, please stop using the site. That is the whole agreement, and there is nothing hidden.
1. What this website is
DeepHiDX is an independent website that writes about the dark web, online security, privacy, online crime and digital investigations. Everything here is for learning and information. Our Disclaimer explains the limits of that, and it is part of these terms.
2. How you may use the site
You are welcome to read, quote, link to and share our work. You must not use this site to:
- Break the law, or help anyone else break it.
- Try to break into the site, its servers, or anything connected to it. That includes scanning or testing it without permission.
- Try to knock the site offline or slow it down for other people.
- Copy the site automatically at a speed that damages it, or against our robots file.
- Republish whole articles, or use them to train an AI model, without asking us first (see section 4).
- Post anything illegal, threatening or abusive where the site allows you to post.
- Pretend to be DeepHiDX or its writers, or claim a connection to us that does not exist.
If you are a security researcher and you find a genuine weakness in this site, please tell us instead of using it. Email ehtijadalee@gmail.com. We will not come after anyone who reports a problem honestly, promptly, without touching reader data and without breaking the site.
3. We never help anyone break the law
This is the most important rule on a site about these subjects, so here it is plainly:
Nothing on this website is an instruction or an invitation to commit a crime. We explain how criminal systems work so that people can understand them, avoid them and report them.
We do not publish links or addresses for illegal websites, working hacking tools, virus files, or step-by-step guides for fraud, hacking or hiding money. The full list is in section 4 of our Editorial Policy. We will not send you any of it if you ask.
You are responsible for what you do and for knowing the law where you live. Something perfectly legal in one country can be a serious crime in another, and this is especially true of encryption and privacy tools. We cannot advise you on your own country, and nothing here should be treated as us telling you that something is legal for you.
4. Copyright
Everything on this site, including the articles, research, images and design, belongs to DeepHiDX or to the people who wrote it, and is protected by copyright.
You may do these things without asking:
- Quote a reasonable amount, as long as you credit us and link to the original page.
- Link to any page here.
- Use our work in schoolwork, university work, or your own reporting, with credit.
- Share our links on social media or in a newsletter.
You must ask us first before you:
- Republish a whole article, or most of one, including translated versions.
- Present our work as your own, or remove our name from it.
- Use our content to make money, including inside a paid product.
- Use automated tools to collect our articles for training AI models or building datasets.
To ask, email ehtijadalee@gmail.com. We are usually happy to say yes for schools, universities and non-commercial use. The DeepHiDX name and logo may not be used in any way that suggests we endorse you.
5. Things you send us
If you send us a tip, a comment or a correction, you are confirming that you are allowed to share it and that sharing it does not break anyone else rights. You are also giving us permission to use it in our reporting, unless we have agreed to keep it private.
If we agree to protect your identity, we will. But we cannot promise to protect you from a court order, and no website honestly can. If sharing something could put you in danger, read the safety advice on our Contact page before you send it.
6. Links to other sites
We link to many government agencies, universities and other publications. We do not control those websites and we are not responsible for what is on them. A link means we used it as a source, not that we approve of everything there. Once you click away, our Privacy Policy no longer applies.
7. We try hard, but we make no guarantees
We work carefully on accuracy. Our methods are on the Editorial Policy and Fact-Checking Policy pages, and we fix mistakes openly under our Corrections Policy.
Even so, this website is provided as it is, with no guarantees. We cannot promise everything is complete, current or free of errors.
This matters most with security advice, which goes out of date quickly. Something that was correct when we wrote it may be wrong later. Always check the date on an article, and check anything important against an up-to-date source before you rely on it.
8. Limits on our responsibility
As far as the law allows, DeepHiDX and its writers are not responsible for any loss or damage caused by using this site or relying on what it says. That includes lost data, lost money and knock-on losses.
Nothing here removes responsibility that cannot legally be removed, and if you are a consumer, your normal legal rights are unaffected.
9. The site may change
We cannot promise the site will always be online. We may change, pause or remove any part of it. We may also update articles, and where a change is important it will be noted on the article itself.
10. Privacy
Your use of this site is also covered by our Privacy Policy, which explains what little we collect and what rights you have.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and carrying on using the site means you accept it. Important changes will be noted rather than slipped in quietly.
12. If part of this is unenforceable
If a court decides one part of these terms does not hold up, the rest still applies.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms, corrections, permission requests and privacy requests all go to ehtijadalee@gmail.com. See the Contact page for how to label your email.
